About the Library

Luther King Centre Library, is a dedicated theological library with a collection of over 30,000 books and holds regular subscriptions to over 35 journal titles.

What we offer:

  • Long opening hours
  • A quiet study area
  • Access to PC’s (during library staffed hours), along with WIFI, printing and photocopying facilities
  • Access to the online library catalogue to search physical library resources
  • A postal loan service for member’s that live outside of the Manchester area (charges apply)
  • Click & collect book reservation service
  • A fulltime librarian for help and support

The Collection

LKC library has a vast collection with a particular focus on Practical and Contextual Theology, Missiology, Liberal Theology and other Contemporary Theologies.

As well as an extensive collection of resources in all main areas of Christianity, Christian Theology, Biblical Studies, Inter-faith dialogue, World Religions, Chaplaincy and Church Related Community Work.

Opening Hours

The library is open:

  • Monday –  Sunday 7.30am - 10.25pm
